iPads in the Primary classroom


Hello,

I have started my blog in Septembre 2012. For the first time I am using my iPad to teach Spanish in a primary school in London. All classteachers will have an ipad too. Exciting!

I asked for help and Nicky Hockly gave me directions! This is what she
recommended:

    1. A detailed description of a project that used Voice Thread on iPads in a primary classroom, and from the same blog, how to create a visual dictionary on the iPad – in Spanish:  dictionary

    3. Karin Timaşin and Cigdem Ugur in Turkey set up a project involving mobile phones over several classes, and which they describe in a video interview on Seth Dicken's blog. This project could equally have been carried out using iPads: use your phone

Sample of work- Letter

I am particularly proud of this sample of work. It comes from a learner that has only started the lessons in September, one hour per week. The learner is 15 years old, bilingual (Portuguese/English), and currently home educating and preparing for taking GCSEs in June 2018. It is the first time the student is taking Spanish lessons and started as a  complete beginner. What I really like in the letter shown below is the accuracy. The language is appropriate for the situation and purpose of communication. The learner uses what learns in other subjects (i.e. English lessons) and applies this confidently.  Tarea: Completa la carta.
